bread's price

I'm waiting in the front of the bakery. There is a lot of people in this end of afternoon. A majority of women with their children who just go out of school. Into the bakery, waiting to be served, people speaks about on subject : the bread's prices.

As a matter of fact, today, the traditional « baguette » costs 5 cents more.

What is 5 cents will ask rich people? It's insignificant!

Yes, but 5 cents are very hard to support for a modest family who have children and desire to well eat everyday. It's harder than we imagine because the bread's price is a real indicator for the general price of food.

The most alarming in this crisis of the food's prices : a lot of experts agree on the fact that this increase will continue during, at least, 10 years. According to them, it's due to the increase of cereal's prices whose the world stocks have never been so low since 1970.

Besides, all around the world (even in some developing countries), a middle class is appearing who increase day after day its food's consumption.

Finally, a lot of farmers opted, these last 5 years, for cultures allowing to create biofuels which can explain the reduction of the surface dedicated to the human alimentation.

How will the prices evolve in the future? Forecasts are rough but what is sure is that it will be harder and harder for numerous families to eat 3 equilibrate meals in a day...even in rich countries like
