My name is Agnalys. Like everyone of us I study in ISTOM which is an engineering school in international agronomic and development.

I chose the theme of agriculture because for me it’s a fundamental and international issue.

Indeed, until nowadays, agriculture has been the main human method, chosen since ten thousands years, to answer to vital needs. Moreover, even if it is a universal activity there are as many legislations and systems as the number of farms in the world, which make it captivating.

Agriculture is in direct interplay with natural environment. Indeed human choices and technicals are governed by it, but those latter also have a more or less important and reversible impact in the qualities of the natural environment.

That’s why as agriculture is concerned, the choice of technical’s ( organic, integrated farming, intensive, extensive,  pastoral, soil less……) one choose to use is fundamental.

Moreover, choices we make are conditioned by economical and sociological factors which are themselves governed by the statute law of each country. That is why the choices made by farmers are not solely personal ones but derive from political on a large scale.

To my point of view everybody have to feel concerned by the choices of technical we make, mostly in our current context of global warming

.Indeed it will affect easily ecosystems and so our standard of living.

Wondering which earth we want for tomorrow, boil down to wonder which agriculture we want.
